This is not just a piece of furniture; it is a statement of principles. It is a bold proposal to return to a healthier production paradigm, one that respects the land and culture. It is the cultural development of southeastern Mexico, a celebration of the richness and diversity of our region. It is an unwavering commitment to dignity and fair remuneration for the Mexican artisans whose talents and traditions are at the heart of this creation.
This piece of furniture is more than just wood; it is salvaged wood, revived to forge a future of sustainable production. It is the result of a conscious structure that seeks not only to exist, but to nourish the system in which it is nested. It is a vital symbiosis between the jungle of Soconusco in Chiapas and Kanak, a harmonious interaction that benefits both and reflects our vision of a world where design and nature coexist in perfect harmony.

We are committed to using only reclaimed wood, sourced from a variety of carefully selected sources. This includes crop thinning, an essential practice on our cocoa farms, where trees are trimmed to optimize the delicate light-shade relationship that cocoa requires to thrive. We also reclaim wood from trees affected by pests, those that pose a danger to the area’s infrastructure, abandoned herds, and through responsible logging practices within our farms. The entire process of sawing, cutting, and drying the wood is carried out within the farm, ensuring not only the superior quality of each piece, but also the ethical and sustainable origin of the resources we use. This complete control over the process allows us to guarantee that every product we create is aligned with our values of sustainability and respect for the natural environment.

We exclusively use local materials and labor, contributing to the development of a forgotten region of our country. This choice not only strengthens the local economy and preserves artisan traditions, but also allows us to reduce our carbon footprint by minimizing the need to transport materials. Our inspiration, like our resources, comes from nearby nature. Each piece we create is a celebration of the region's biodiversity and a reflection of our commitment to a sustainable future. By rooting our production process locally, we not only support our community, but also promote a more conscious and environmentally friendly production model.
LOCAL PROCESS

By working closely with artisans and workers in the region, we are strengthening the social and economic fabric of the area, creating new opportunities for employment and growth. This commitment to the community goes beyond simply creating jobs; it is about preserving and valorising ancestral knowledge that has been passed down from generation to generation. By keeping these traditions and skills alive, we add invaluable value to the community, ensuring that this knowledge is not lost, but rather thrives and evolves over time.
Our integrated approach to development not only improves living conditions in the region, but also promotes a more just and sustainable future.
